Your Money Is Safe With Us!
The recent news about the takeover of IndyMac Bank by the FDIC has created anxiety for some members. Rest assured, as a member of Inner Lakes FCU, you have no need to worry about your money.  Inner Lakes, as well as credit unions in general, are limited by statute and regulation as to what we can invest in - and as such have avoided the riskier parts of the market that have caused problems for other financial institutions.

Additionally, credit unions’ mortgage lending is primarily for traditional loans and our underwriting standards are more conservative.

Lastly, your money with Inner Lakes is insured by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (similar to the FDIC) up to $100,000 on regular accounts and $250,000 on IRA accounts.

If you do have any concerns, please feel free to contact us at (716) 326-3858.
